'£70m-rated' defender Murillo of Nottingham Forest is of interest to Chelsea as Nuno Espirito Santo's team'seeks to avoid PSR difficulties again'.

There are presently six center-backs in Enzo Maresca's Chelsea side, but the Blues are not the only team interested in Murillo. The 21-year-old has received high marks since joining from Corinthians last summer and was instrumental in Forest's Premier League survival.

His European admirers are Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian center-half was purchased for almost £15 million, but if Forest were to sell him this summer, they would likely make a big profit.

The Telegraph claims that Murillo is valued by the Forest hierarchy at approximately £70 million.

Last season, Forest lost points due to their violation of the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

With the 30 June deadline approaching, the Midlands club might find itself in violation of financial regulations again the following season if they fail to offload one of its marquee players.

Apart from Murillo, players like Taiwo Awoniyi and Morgan Gibbs-White are also expected to draw attention from opposing teams.

Moussa Niakhate, a defender who played 21 times in the Premier League the previous season, is getting close to joining Lyon.
