Mbeumo on rumors of a transfer
Bryan Mbeumo, a forward for Brentford, says he "accepts" the rumors about his future in light of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur's interest.
Man Utd made a proposal for Mbeumo, and with Thomas Frank as head coach, he is interested in joining Spurs.
Brentford values the forward, who scored 20 Premier League goals the previous season, at over £60 million and is open to bids.
"It (transfer speculation) is a bit new for me I would say," Mbeumo stated in an exclusive interview with Craig Slater of Sky Sports during the Canadian Grand Prix.
"I think it can be the life of a footballer and you need to accept it."
Spurs' interest in Mbeumo caused Man Utd to relax:
Despite knowing that Tottenham is interested in the Brentford forward, Manchester United seems unconcerned about their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo.
Last Friday, Sky Sports News reported that Spurs and Brentford had had preliminary discussions over the 25-year-old.
According to a source who spoke to Sky Sports News, Mbeumo is now leaning toward United, but he is reportedly interested in Spurs, who recently hired his former manager Thomas Frank.
After their initial proposal of up to £55 million for Mbeumo was rejected, United is anticipated to make another offer. Whether Tottenham will pursue Antoine Semenyo or continue their initial discussions is still up in the air.
Brentford is open to bids and values Mbeumo, who essentially has two years left on his contract, at more than £60 million.
Semenyo of Bournemouth is one of United's other objectives in Mbeumo's position, and the team has their own ideals for both players.
The announcement of Truffert by Bournemouth brings Kerkez one step closer to Liverpool.
It is anticipated that the signing of Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert by Bournemouth will open the door for Milos Kerkez to join Liverpool.
Kerkez's left-back replacement is thought to be Truffert, who signed a £11.4 million contract with the Cherries that could increase to £14.4 million.
According to reports, Truffert's transfer to Bournemouth was anticipated to be contingent upon Kerkez's move to Anfield.
Other teams in the Premier League and Europe had expressed interest in the 23-year-old Truffert, who Bournemouth had to contend with.
Andrews is Brentford's choice to succeed Frank, but a deal is not yet finalized.
"The leading contender for Brentford is Keith Andrews. Although it isn't finalized now and won't happen anytime soon, the appointment is reminiscent of Brentford because it would be internal.
"He has been a member of Thomas Frank's coaching staff since the previous season, mostly serving as the set-piece coach, although he is well-liked as a coach and a coach for the club's future.
"They've made internal appointments at Brentford before. After serving as Dean Smith's assistant, Frank assumed leadership and achieved great success.
Additionally, if you go all the way back to Mark Warburton, who served as Uwe Rosler's sporting director before taking over, he was responsible for their first promotion from League One to the Championship. Eleven years beforehand
They have a history of promoting from within, which is similar to Liverpool's former boot room approach. They have recognized Andrews' potential to succeed.
"Having that continuity is also very crucial for a team like Brentford, who have achieved great success and made a name for themselves in the Premier League.
"They have identified that individual as the one they would like to get in the door, but it is now just a matter of crossing the t's and dotting the i's.
"And, from Andrews' point of view, this would be a tremendous opportunity for him to really kick-start his coaching career."
Maresca: Delap might eventually be England's number nine.
During his press conference prior to the Blues' Club World Cup opening match against LA FC on Monday, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca talked about new addition Liam Delap.
"He could be England's No. 9 in my opinion, and he wasn't even with us when we played Ipswich last season," I added.
Now that he's here, I'll say it again: I have no doubt that he can be England's number nine in the future.
"Liam is also fully aware of the No. 9's significance to this team.
"In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with that. Liam seemed to be extremely at ease.
Since his arrival, he has been performing well at work.
'You're going to be first choice,' I never tell a player. The message remains consistent: you show up, you put in a lot of effort, you outperform the other No. 9, and you will be given preference.
Since we've known one another for years, I know what Liam can offer us, and he knows what we can provide him to help him develop as a player.
"In terms of being a No 9, hopefully he can score goals for us."
Calafiori will remain with Arsenal, while Zinchenko will be allowed to depart.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal will approve an exit for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is being courted by AC Milan, even if they have no plans to cash in on Riccardo Calafiori this summer.
Less than a year after joining AC Milan from Bologna, Calafiori was reportedly pursued by the north London team.
Due to Myles Lewis-Skelly's breakthrough, Zinchenko, 28, only appeared in 15 Premier League games last season. Additionally, he only has one year left on his Emirates contract.
