In 13 league matches this season Alaves have collected four wins, one draw and eight losses, and 13 points in total which puts them on the 15 th place in the standings, three points from the relegation zone.

The Blue and Whites will be hoping to win consecutive games against Atletico, who they defeated 2-0 in their most recent meeting in April. No team has lost more games in La Liga this season, but four wins is a good return at this point in the season.

Alaves is making a name for themselves at this level of football after finishing 10th in La Liga the previous season and only missing one of their previous nine seasons.

Nahuel Molina is anticipated to recover from a hamstring ailment in time to play on Saturday, although Atletico will once again be without Thomas Lemar owing to a muscular issue.
