The fourth round FA Cup match between Everton and Bournemouth takes place at Goodison Park on an afternoon Saturday.

Bournemouth players will make their final appearance at this stadium after achieving a spectacular comeback victory by scoring all three goals past the eighty-seven-minute mark.

Since their third-round home match against Peterborough United took place without a manager and while the club remained in relegation danger Everton successfully acquired a new manager and drew away from potential relegation.

Under David Moyes' second spells as manager Everton secured three consecutive victories making them the initial team from outside the top eight to succeed in this feat and established a nine-point buffer toward safety.

David Moyes surpassed Sean Dyche by winning three matches since assuming club leadership four days after the City Ground victory during which Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman managed the team.

Everton supporters need a cup run now because their season may stay alive until the final few months despite the team's inability to reach a major final except in 2009 under Moyes.

Since winning their last major prize 30 years ago Everton has not managed to reach any final with Wembley serving as their destination during their recent visits when Liverpool and Manchester United defeated them in the semis.

A home fixture in the FA Cup appears favorable since the Toffees have secured eight victories in their previous ten FA Cup games at Goodison Park yet they fell short at home to Luton Town in the last fourth round.

Last season, Luton gave Everton problems, while Bournemouth has won seven of the last nine games, including both of this season's league encounters.

However, Everton has won both FA Cup matches between the two teams, in 1937 and 2016, and Bournemouth hasn't defeated a single team three times in a single season since defeating Carlisle United in 2012–13.

At Portman Road, however, forthcoming visitors Ipswich easily defeated League One team Bristol Rovers without the need for spot kicks. Kalvin Phillips, Jack Clarke, and Jack Taylor put the Pirates to the sword before the half.

Ipswich has both historical and contemporary wrongs to right on Saturday after suffering an embarrassing elimination at the hands of fourth-tier Maidstone United last year. They now want to break an 18-year absence from the fifth round of the FA Cup, last reaching that stage in 2007.

With only one point separating them from fifth place, which is predicted to be sufficient to secure a Champions League spot the next season, Bournemouth, who have never qualified for Europe previously, could not have a better opportunity than they have this year.

Additionally, the top eight teams should all qualify for Europe, and because Bournemouth now leads Fulham by four points, Iraola is in a bit of a bind.

Although the home supporters will be hoping that Moyes fields a solid starting lineup for this match, there could be some rotation because of the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.

Despite the increased level of opponents and the many ailments they are now facing, Iraola rotated his Bournemouth team in the third round and may do so again.
