After consecutive victories on the road, Juventus are back at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday where they have been drawn against Cagliari, currently amongst the relegation strugglers on the Italian top flight.

After coming close enough to oust Numero Uno in Italy, Juve clinched an enthralling 5-4 win away to RB Leipzig; Cagliari, on the other hand, registered their first league win of the current season just before the break.

Juventus proving kind of determination under the regime of their head coach Thiago Motta on Tuesday, staged a dramatic come back from 2-1 down, ten men to earn full points in their second match in Champions League competition Dusan Vlahovic leads the goal bursts with two goals.

The Bianconeri pulled a UEFA Champions League group stage stunner by beating RB Leipzig on German soil, while Bremer left the pitch injured after five minutes, and Michele Di Gregorio was dismissed with 30 minutes remaining.

In spite of this, a great effort by Vlahovic ensured that the visitors were back on terms before the second half hour when substitute Sergio Conceicao went on a personal rampage and scored the winning goal.

Juve had last season defeated PSV Eindhoven 3-1, and those Champions League goals have been the only ones surrendered by that stingy Juve backline through all competitions – even though they will now be without Bremer for the rest of the campaign.

Bayern Munich is the only team to ave faced fewer shots on average across the top five leagues in Europe while Juve Turin has conceded few shots on target ( 1.3 per game ) than any other team.

Including last week's 3-0 win over Genoa, Motta's men have kept a clean sheet in each of their first six Serie A matches, setting a new record for Italy's most successful club: It is the misfortune of only three teams that they have registered shut-outs for all of the first seven matches and none since the famous AC Milan of the season 1993-94.

After the latter's late goal at Stadio Tardini, Cagliari moved up to 16th place with five points thus far, and off the bottom of the table.

Even with their modest total, the Rossoblu are still ahead of both of their previous Serie A seasons, in which they had only managed two points at this point in the season. Last season, they came dangerously close to relegation on the first occasion.

Apart from defeating their most likely opponents Parma, the Sardinian team finished September strong in the Coppa Italia, where they will face Juventus in the round of 16.
