Brighton & Hove Albion are aiming to end a long streak without a win as they head to the City Ground for a Premier League match on Saturday. The team has been held back by numerous draws recently, and with Nottingham Forest also struggling, it's likely both sides will struggle to outdo each other.

Nottingham Forest faced a 3-2 defeat against West Ham in their previous Premier League game. Despite taking the lead in the second half through Anthony Elanga and Taiwo Awoniyi, they eventually conceded the winning goal.

Nottingham Forest has encountered difficulties lately, managing just one win in their last eight matches. They currently sit in the lower half of the standings, and while there's no immediate risk of relegation, manager Steve Cooper is eager to turn things around.

Home performance is crucial, and Nottingham Forest remains undefeated in front of their home crowd, securing two wins and three draws out of five matches. However, they've struggled defensively, keeping only one clean sheet in five games at the City Ground.

Brighton & Hove Albion surprised many last season with a Europa League finish in the Premier League. However, replicating that success has been tough this season, especially balancing European competitions with their domestic campaign.

Recent weeks have been challenging for Brighton, going winless in their last six Premier League matches, with five ending in draws, including a 1-1 result against Sheffield United in their previous league fixture.

Their defensive weaknesses have been evident this season, failing to secure a clean sheet so far. Additionally, they've conceded nine goals in their last three Premier League away games.

In their 30 previous matches against Brighton, Nottingham Forest holds a 12-10 advantage with eight draws. Forest didn't suffer defeat in their two meetings last season, playing out a goalless draw initially before securing a 3-1 victory at the City Ground.

Due to their unexpected victory over Champions League-chasing Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest went into their two Premier League gameweeks against Claret-clad opponents at West Ham's London Stadium with high spirits. However, they were quickly dragged back to earth.

Brighton has to snap their winless streak, while Nottingham Forest must defend their unbeaten streak. The Seagulls were punished once more for not turning their dominance into more than one goal during Sheffield United's visit to the Amex two weekends ago.

Roberto De Zerbi's team took the lead thanks to a brilliant move started and completed by Simon Adingra in the sixth minute. However, Adam Webster failed to stop Jayden Bogle's cross with his leg, only turning the ball into his own net moments after Mahmoud Dahoud was sent off the field.

Brighton received a dose of their own medicine on the South Coast as they played out a third consecutive 1-1 draw in the top division. Since beating Bournemouth 3-1 in September, Brighton has not won and are currently ranked eighth. This came after Brighton had benefited from an own goal against Everton.

Despite this, De Zerbi's team has two Europa League victories over Ajax to their credit, a reasonable five-game winning streak in all competitions, and they have scored in 28 straight Premier League games—the fifth-longest streak in history—behind Arsenal's 55, Manchester United and Liverpool's 36, and Manchester City's 29.

All four of those teams raised the Premier League trophy in the air during their scoring runs of glory, but Brighton, who lost their two meetings with Forest in the previous season and was defeated 3-1 at the City Ground in April, can never dream of winning the championship.
