Facing Strasbourg might turn out to be a stroke of luck, especially for Enrique, given that the Alsace club has never managed to beat PSG in 36 away matches dating back to 1975, with 28 of those games resulting in losses. The current manager, Patrick Vieira, is determined to put an end to this losing streak, and his team has made a respectable start to the season.

Currently positioned 11th in the league, just two points away from a European spot, Strasbourg's standing is much more encouraging compared to the majority of last season when they were in the relegation zone in March. Strasbourg narrowly escaped relegation with an impressive run that lasted until April, finishing two places above the expanded relegation zone in Ligue 1.

Initially, they seemed poised for another shot at a European campaign after winning three out of their first six games. However, back-to-back defeats, particularly against Lens and Nantes, both of which have had poor starts, were a significant disappointment for Vieira.

To make matters more challenging, Strasbourg's upcoming fixture list includes matches against formidable opponents like PSG and Rennes, as well as a visit to high-flying Brest and a home clash with Marseille before the end of November. This run of games will thoroughly test Strasbourg's potential as European contenders.

Before the international break, Strasbourg lost consecutive home games, 1-0 to Lens and 2-1 to Nantes. Strasbourg is 3-1-4 in the league and in 11th place as of the start of Patrick Vieira's managerial career. Since finishing just three points outside of a European spot in the 2021–22 season, they haven't really been a solid selection for soccer betting.

Forward Due to a muscle ailment, Emanuel Emegha is likely to be out for the game on Saturday. With two goals and two assists in three games, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde was a bright spot for the Alsatians. Then, prior to the transfer deadline, Wolverhampton Wanderers acquired him.

Goalkeeper Matz Sels, defender Gerzino Nyamsi, wingback Thomas Delaine, and midfielder Ismael Doukoure are the only four Strasbourg players to have started each game. Strasbourg has scored four goals in their past five Ligue 1 games, which represents a recent scoring slump.

With four straight home victories, Paris Saint-Germain has loved facing Strasbourg at home in recent Ligue 1 seasons. PSG will host Strasbourg on Saturday after the October international break. Strasbourg will be attempting to avoid suffering a third loss here after a respectable start to the year. In the meanwhile, if PSG wins and other outcomes go their way, they might take the lead in Ligue 1 for the first time this season.

The last five encounters between PSG and Strasbourg have seen goals from both teams, according to many previews. PSG won the Ligue 1 championship for 2022–23 with May's 1–1 draw at Strasbourg. Despite Neymar receiving a red card, PSG prevailed 2-1 in the first meeting. Strasbourg has an 0-4-6 record in the previous 10 head-to-head games in Ligue 1, which includes no victories.

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Rennes 3-1 in their previous match. Kylian Mbappe ought to have made it four for PSG, who dominated Rennes despite losing both of their games against them the previous season. Mbappe maneuvered around Rennes goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, but his attempt on the open goal went over the crossbar.

PSG now sits in third place in Ligue 1 following the victory. They are just two points behind league leaders Monaco and are about to enter a somewhat advantageous phase of their schedule. Hakimi, Kolo Muani, and Ousmane Dembele are all suspended for this game, though. In late September, following a 4-0 victory over Marseille, the players allegedly participated in homophobic chants directed at OM.

The starting lineup for this game would have included all three of these players, but Goncalo Ramos is now expected to start at striker. Dembele might be replaced on the right wing by Bradley Barcola or Lee Kang-in. At right back, Nordi Mukiele might make his first career start.

Paris Saint-Germain aims to put their lackluster season start behind them as they prepare to face Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes this Saturday. This season has seen one of PSG's weakest beginnings under Qatari ownership, currently placing them in third position in the Ligue 1 standings.

Luis Enrique managed to partially regain favor with PSG fans by guiding his team to a 3-1 victory against Rennes just before the international break. However, the Spanish manager is treading on thin ice, particularly following their embarrassing 4-1 loss to Newcastle United in the Champions League earlier this month.

Considering that result and several other disappointing performances, Enrique still faces a significant challenge in reversing their fortunes, especially in the league. PSG appeared sluggish and off their game in draws against Lorient, Toulouse, and Clermont, and suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Nice on their home turf.

The team has displayed their strength when facing other top clubs, as evidenced by their comfortable win against Borussia Dortmund in Europe and their dominant victories over Lens, Lyon, and Marseille this season.

The recent win against Rennes has boosted the team's confidence and may provide the momentum needed to recover from their poor start. With AC Milan visiting the French capital midweek, PSG must secure a victory and deliver a convincing performance in the upcoming match.

Even though Kylian Mbappe started for France against Scotland on Tuesday in a friendly, coach Luis Enrique wasn't too upset with the forward's performance.

Mbappe currently leads the Ligue 1 scoring statistics on his own with seven goals, and his astonishing double against the Netherlands last week secured France's trip to Germany for the summer.

Unfortunately, Ousmane Dembele, Achraf Hakimi, Layvin Kurzawa, and Randal Kolo Muani will all be absent for Enrique's team as a result of one-game suspensions they received for inappropriate shouting directed at Marseille supporters following PSG's 4-0 victory last month.
