Two teams in La Liga, who have collectively secured only three victories this season, are set to clash in a Spanish top-flight match on Saturday evening. Celta Vigo will host Sevilla at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos.

Celta Vigo finds themselves in a challenging position, having accumulated only six points from 11 La Liga fixtures, placing them in the 18th spot on the league table. Sevilla, on the other hand, is positioned 14th and has gathered 10 points from their first 10 matches.

During the summer, Celta made a notable managerial appointment by bringing in Rafael Benitez as their head coach. However, it has been a difficult beginning to his tenure as the 63-year-old manager.

The team, often referred to as the Sky Blues, has only managed to collect six points from their first 11 matches in the 2023-24 La Liga season. This includes one win, three draws, and seven defeats, resulting in their current 18th place standing.

Celta did have a recent success in the Copa del Rey, advancing to the second round with a 4-0 victory over Turegano on Wednesday. Nevertheless, they haven't achieved a league victory since early September when they defeated Almeria 3-2 on the road.

In their last seven league matches, Benitez's team has suffered five losses, including their most recent defeats against Atletico Madrid and Girona. They are set to face another challenging match next Friday when they play against Athletic Bilbao.

The last three La Liga encounters between Celta and Sevilla have all ended in draws. However, Celta Vigo hasn't managed to defeat Sevilla in any competition since February 2020.

Due to injuries, Celta will be without the services of two first-team players this weekend: Mihailo Ristic and Joseph Aidoo.

On his comeback from a fitness concern, Carles Perez scored twice off the bench against Turegano; nevertheless, the forward should now start this game while Ivan Villar is returned from suspension.

Although Iago Aspas has yet to score a goal this season, the 36-year-old is anticipated to continue playing with Jorgen Strand Larsen in the final third of the field.

Barcelona is aiming to recover from their recent loss in the El Clasico as they continue their 2023-24 La Liga campaign with an away match against Real Sociedad this Saturday evening.

Xavi's team suffered a 2-1 defeat at home against the current league leaders, Real Madrid, in their previous match. In contrast, Real Sociedad heads into this contest fresh from a 1-0 win over Bunol in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Real Sociedad's performance in La Liga this season has seen them secure five victories, draw four matches, and suffer two losses in their 11 games, amassing 19 points. This places them in fifth place in the league standings, trailing fourth-placed Barcelona by five points.

Imanol Alguacil's squad also advanced in the Copa del Rey with a 1-0 victory against Bunol, courtesy of a goal by Carlos Fernandez in the 67th minute.

In the Champions League, Real Sociedad is performing admirably, having secured seven points from their first three matches in Group D against Inter Milan, Red Bull Salzburg, and Benfica, positioning them as the group leaders.

Despite their European success, Real Sociedad has struggled to find their top form in La Liga, winning just one of their last three matches. Their most recent league game ended in a 2-2 draw against Rayo Vallecano last weekend.

A notable aspect of Real Soc

iedad's performance is their unbeaten record at home in all competitions this season. They have won four of their last five home games, with all of those victories occurring in La Liga.

For this weekend's match against the reigning La Liga winners, Real Sociedad will once again be without the services of Andre Silva, Kieran Tierney, and Martin Merquelanz.

While Ander Barrenetxea is doubtful due to a head injury that forced him to leave the league match against Rayo last time out, he should be good to go on Saturday night.

The Copa del Rey match on Wednesday featured many changes, as was to be expected, but the major guns will be back for this one. Mikel Oyarzabal is expected to play through the middle, and Takefusa Kubo and Aihen Munoz are also expected to be back in the starting lineup.

Regarding Barcelona, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski both made their comebacks from injuries last weekend against Real Madrid, and both could possibly start this match.

Jules Kounde is also a possibility because he started off the bench in the El Clasico, although Frenkie de Jong and Pedri are still questionable even though they returned to training before the Los Blancos match.

Meanwhile, veteran midfielder Sergi Roberto is unquestionably out due to a calf injury. For this match, Oriol Romeu might return to the midfield, and Fermin Lopez and Ferran Torres might sit out in order to provide room for Lewandowski and Raphinha in the final third.
