F1 enthusiasts, ignite your engines. The 2024 season resumes this weekend with the Austrian Grand Prix. The 11th Grand Prix of the 2024 Formula One season will take held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. The official race begins at 9 a.m. ET on Sunday, June 30, although practice on the circuit begins as early as Friday, June 28. Whether you've been a Formula One fan for a long time or this will be your first time watching the action on the track, viewing or streaming this highly famous international sport from the United States might be challenging.
The Austrian Grand Prix will be broadcast live on ESPN and streamed on ESPN Plus. This season, ESPN is the home of Formula One, with 18 of the 24 races broadcast on ESPN or ABC and the rest on ESPN2. ESPN+ will stream 16 races in 2024.
For cord-cutters who want to watch Formula One racing, including this weekend's grand prix, we recommend Hulu's live TV package, which includes ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+.
The eleventh round of the season is Red Bull's home race.
Although Max Verstappen stays on track for his fourth consecutive F1 victory, the team's supremacy is less one-sided than it once was.
McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes have all posed significant challenges.
Mercedes has even been tipped for a triumph this season, following successive podium finishes.
Sergio Perez continues to face scrutiny, which may intensify in Red Bull's native country.
Max Verstappen is on track for a fourth world title with Red Bull, but after such a dominant 2023 campaign, the Dutchman's authority over the rest of the field has steadily faded to the point where he is still leading from the front by a big margin.
With chances of dominating his opponents once more appearing increasingly fragile with each passing week, Ferrari and McLaren, who are quickly establishing themselves to be the dark horses at the top of the table, are hoping to chip away at their rivals.
Add in Red Bull's ongoing off-field sagas and the gradually developing danger of a Mercedes team capable of pulling off a few surprises, particularly as Lewis Hamilton aims to conclude his stint with the Silver Arrows on a high note if possible.
It's looking like another fantastic weekend of racing, so how can you make sure you see everything on the track? GOAL shows you where to watch the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix, including practice, qualifying, and the race itself.
