Bayern Munich has been REJECTED by Ralf Rangnick!

The former Manchester United interim gaffer was reportedly leading the charge to replace Thomas Tuchel this summer.

As a result, followers started a petition, pleading with chiefs to continue supporting Tuchel since they believe he is far superior to Rangnick. 

They have now achieved one of their goals when a BILD revealed that the coach had passed over Bayern. 

Furthermore, according to journalist Christian Falk, the 65-year-old will continue to lead the Austrian national squad. 

It is the most recent blow to Bayern following several disappointments in their quest to find a replacement for Tuchel.

First, they attempted to steal Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen, the recent Bundesliga winners and opponents. 

But the Spaniard said he was going to stay put for at least a year after receiving an approach from Liverpool as well. 

Then, when their former leader decided to extend his contract with the German national team, Bayern's attempt to sign Julian Nagelsmann was unsuccessful. 

After rival target Unai Emery signed a new deal at Aston Villa, Bayern and Austrian coach Rangnick began negotiations.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired from United in November 2021, Rangnick's disastrous tenure as interim manager is what English supporters remember him for the most. 

Yet, he left United after Erik ten Hag arrived, with Cristiano Ronaldo severely undermining his skills, after a lackluster six-month tenure.
