Burnley has successfully returned to the Premier League.

Following Leeds United's 6-0 victory over Stoke earlier on Easter Monday, Burnley has successfully returned to the Premier League. Burnley manager Scott Parker has experienced promotion with three separate clubs.

Burnley has successfully returned to the Premier League.

At the first attempt, Burnley has guaranteed their place back in the Premier League.

After defeating third-place Sheffield United 2-1 at Turf Moor, they were guaranteed promotion and extended their winning streak to an incredible 31 games. They also immediately returned to the top flight, as they had done following their previous two relegations in 2015 and 2022.

With two games left, Leeds had already defeated Stoke 6-0 to take the lead in the Championship with 94 points. Burnley needed to avoid losing to the Blades, who were in third place, in order for both teams to finish in the top two.

Chris Wilder's team now faces the possibility of attempting to join them through the playoffs after Burnley dutifully complied.

Burnley last suffered a league loss at Millwall more than five months ago. Scott Parker, who has now gained promotion to the Premier League with a third different side after doing it with Fulham and Bournemouth, has managed another incredible season.

Parker's team will tie Reading's record of 33 games without a loss if they win their next two games.

Leeds and Burnley are still in the running to finish with 100 points.

"We had a boring journey to the Premier League."
After Burnley defeated Sheffield United to secure promotion, captain Josh Brownhill made a joke about the Clarets having "bored our way to the Premier League."

Parker's team had only given up 15 goals in 44 games, and their victory against their promotion opponents made it impossible to catch them.

"I'm unable to speak.  This season, all that effort.  Brownhill, who scored both goals against Sheffield United, told Sky Sports, "We've been written off so many times, people calling us boring, but we've bored our way to the Premier League again."

"The sensation is simply amazing.  I doubt many of the guys will get much sleep.

"I'm just so buzzing for a lot of the lads who haven't played Premier League football, how much it means to them to get this club back into the Premier League."

Parker: We want a title now that we've been promoted.

Scott Parker, Burnley's manager:

"It is crucial.  There were many highs and lows as we embarked on our quest to advance.  The experience has been nothing short of amazing.  I'm really pleased of the young team because they've put their all into it.

"It feels more unique this time.  As a manager, I've encountered certain difficulties.  Knowing that there was a significant obstacle ahead, I made the decision to take a year off before entering this.  I feel delighted and relieved.

"We're going to go for it," he continued when asked if winning the Championship title is still a major motivator this season.  We want to win the title, but we'll enjoy today.  That is precisely our goal.

Alan Pace, the owner, honoured the man he had chosen to succeed Vincent Kompany in the summer.

"I have nothing but praise for the work he has done.  "He's done better than he could have said when they first met," he said.

"He is a living icon who has demonstrated his ability to manage this league on numerous occasions.

"We saw an individual who knew how to not only live the best version of himself, but how to bring that out in others."
