Manchester United continued their unbeaten run under new manager Ruben Amorim with a comfortable 4-0 win over Everton at Old Trafford.

Having got their first win under Amorim in the Europa League on Thursday night, Sunday saw them win for the first time under the Portuguese in the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark, side-footing a volley from a Bruno Fernandes corner that deflected in off Jarrad Branthwaite.

If Branthwaite was unlucky for the first, then he was certainly culpable for the second. He had his pocket picked by Amad Diallo while dawdling on the ball, and Fernandes was able to square the loose ball across the face of goal for Joshua Zirkzee to steer home.

Rashford then added his second just 20 seconds into the second half. It is the quickest second-half goal on record (since 2006-07) for Manchester United.

Today marked the first time in almost two years that Rashford has scored two or more goals in a Premier League game, with the last instance of that coming back in February 2023 against Leicester City.

Zirkzee added a fourth after yet more good work down the right from Amad. The Ivorian harried Everton centre-back James Tarkowski into a mistake before laying the ball on a plate for Zirkzee to sweep in what was just his third league goal for United.

Everton have won just one of their last 32 Premier League away games against Manchester United (D8 L23), picking up a 1-0 victory in December 2013.
