PSG and Manchester United have a complete deal in place for the midfielder Manuel Ugarte to join the former.

United will pay an upfront payment of £42.2 million, but with performance-related add-ons, the deal may be valued as much as £50.7 million (€60 million).

Ugarte, the team's main midfield target during the transfer window, is anticipated in the UK on Tuesday for a physical examination and personal terms approval.

Prior to bonuses, PSG entered into talks seeking the £51.1 million (€60 million) amount they had paid Sporting Lisbon the previous summer.

With everyone eager to close a deal, the teams have made concessions. It is understood that United is pleased with the agreement they reached.

Less than a year after PSG paid Sporting Lisbon £51.1 million for the Uruguayan, the midfielder will join United.

According to Livesports808 News Ugarte was determined to move to Old Trafford this summer, and he never raised any issues during the transfer window.

While discussions for a loan move with a buyout clause were also held, PSG and United were eager to reach a permanent agreement.

Before a trade to go, United had to sell players, but Erik ten Hag's side had enough room for Ugarte this summer after Hannibal Mejbri left for Burnley and Facundo Pellistri joined Panathinaikos.

The matchday roster for PSG's Ligue 1 debut against Le Havre, which saw the reigning champions triumph 4-1, did not include Ugarte.

The midfielder only started 21 games in the 2023–24 season, but he topped the French football league in tackles (98) the previous year.

PSG is thrilled with the Ugarte agreement, which has a 10% sell-on clause.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are pleased with Manuel Ugarte's £50.7 million transfer.

In addition to gaining all they desired, the French champions slightly profited from the cash they paid Sporting Lisbon in the previous summer.

Man Utd began at £29.6 million (€35 million) and later requested a loan; nevertheless, PSG persisted and achieved their goal all along, which was an instant sale at the appropriate price with a 10% sell-on clause.

PSG's midfield is full with young, talented players. Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha are among the possibilities available to head coach Luis Enrique. This month, the team also paid £50 million to acquire Joao Neves from Benfica.

Although Ugarte is regarded as a very talented player by the Ligue 1 team, he would not have been able to play frequently if he had stayed.

McTominay nearing United exit

Before moving to Napoli, Scott McTominay is almost done settling his conditions of departure from Manchester United.

The two clubs have reached an agreement for £25.4 million (€30 million), and the personal details have been agreed upon in principle.

McTominay is anticipated to travel to Italy for a medical examination after the leaving arrangements have been approved.

While McTominay wants to play regularly for the first team, United is hesitant to lose the midfield player. Moreover, selling him would be a straightforward financial gain for United.
