Solanke relieves Ange's strain by leading Spurs to the EL semifinals.
Dominic Solanke scored the lone goal from the penalty spot as Tottenham defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 0-1 (agg 1-2) to secure their berth in the Europa League semi-final. Spurs maintain hopes of ending their 17-year trophy drought.

Tottenham's resolute 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt to win 2-1 on aggregate and secure their spot in the semi-final preserved their ambitions of winning the Europa League.
After defeating Lazio on penalties, they will now play Norwegian team Bodo/Glimt in the final four, hoping to make it to their first European final since the Champions League heartbreak against Liverpool in 2019.
After a disappointing 4-2 loss to Wolves the previous weekend, Ange Postecoglou was under more pressure in the lead-up to the match. Their chances of qualifying for Europe and winning a trophy also depended on the second leg in Germany.
After goalkeeper Kaua Santos collided with James Maddison shortly before halftime, Dominic Solanke's penalty gave his team the lead in the match. His team responded to the commotion with a stoic defensive performance to keep Frankfurt quiet in the first half.
Pedro Porro, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Micky van de Ven all contributed to the defense's ability to maintain the lead, and Guglielmo Viacrio also addressed previous criticism by making an incredible save to keep Fares Chaibi's header out of reach.
Although the offensive effort was far from flawless, the dedication on the other side of the pitch was admirable.
Spurs' season and aspirations to break the team's 17-year trophy drought are still very much alive and strong, but Postecoglou's team won't be out of the spotlight for long after a difficult test against Nottingham Forest.
Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, told TNT Sports: "People like to make fun of me, but I won't change that."
Postecoglou responded to the question of whether the win will quiet the naysayers by saying, "I doubt it! Seeing this group of players get rewarded makes me happy. Their faith has never wavered. Super proud of them.
"I'll let that go. People like making fun of and mocking others. I shall continue doing what I do, even if they minimise my accomplishments.
"The last four is where we are. semifinal of a competition in Europe. We don't go there very often.
