Timberwolves Vs Kings

Timberwolves will host the Sacramento Kings at the Target Center on Thursday. In the conference standings, the Kings (8-10) sit in 12th place, only behind the Timberwolves (8-9) in 11th place. See our prediction for the match below.

Quite simply, the Timberwolves are still a bit of a mystery. One night they are giving the Boston Celtics a good run for their money: which is an entirely different ball game given that the team is the defending champions. The next they are complacently sleepwalking against the Toronto Raptors or doing a fade out on a game that should have been theirs against Houston. It is frustrating to see this kind of incoherence, and the great defensive wall of this team that helped them last season is suddenly gone.

The offense? It is, I suppose, something that is still undergoing development. I don’t think Anthony Edwards has played like the impending star that we have seen at times, and that is a worry. RelativeLayout Julius Randle, for all his bully ball, has just been way too slow on some plays, for all of the offense they want. And can we please not even mention how Dante DiVincenzo shot more bricks than rings in the three-point area.

Without Mike Conley at the helm, the Wolves have struggled with a lack of direction on offense. Alexander-Walker and DiVincenzo attempted to replace Snell and have been abysmal in the process. The bright spot? Rob Dillingham. The rookie has been dynamite, bringing the team back from the brink of defeat against both the Boston and Houston teams. He is quick, brave and is the kind of player any team needs to inject fresh blood into the team. More on him later.

The Kings are coming to Target Center with their eyes on pay back for the embarrassing loss that the Timberwolves handed them earlier this season. The Wolves have already beaten them twice this season, both times on their home court; the Golden 1 Center. Of course, you could guarantee that Sacramento would fancy their chances of avenging this defeat at the hands of the Wolves back at home.

De’Aaron Fox has been playing at an incredibly high level lately, capped of course by a 60 point effort that would have been the story of the league if the Wolves were not able to eke out an overtime victory. Thanks to Sabonis the Kings have their usual stable performance and they are not to be taken lightly even though they currently are 8-10. The Wolves MUST be ready to face strong-minded mentality on the Kings as well as strong physical performance in order to maintain the flawless score.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, who have been far from their best this season, lost to the Rockets 117-111 in overtime Wednesday night for the sixth time in eight games.

Julius Randle scored 21 points and Anthony Edwards scored 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, but the squad only shot 42% from the field and made nine of 38 three-pointers.

This season, the Timberwolves average 112.6 points per game (17th), while their opponents score 111.1 points per game (11th overall).

Following a crushing 130-109 loss to the high-flying Thunder on Tuesday, the Sacramento Kings have also struggled recently and are now on a four-game losing streak.
