Burnley's Premier League relegation was assured by Tottenham's 2-1 victory.
With one minute remaining, Pedro Porro equalized for Burnley with a brilliant solo goal; Tottenham eventually took the lead through Micky van de Ven; and Burnley was dumped from the Premier League.
For their respective matches at either end of the table, both teams needed to win, and the Clarets' hopes of three points were raised by a goal from 25-year-old Jacob Bruun Larsen.
However, Pedro Porro's (32) excellent solo effort shortly afterward gave Tottenham an equalizer in a close first half.
Even though Spurs controlled the second half, Van van Ven's goal in the 82nd minute was necessary to give them the win.
With a game remaining, Tottenham is able to cut the deficit to four points over Aston Villa, who take on Liverpool on Monday Night Football. However, if Unai Emery's team wins, they'll take fourth place, which means Spurs won't play in the Champions League the following year.
After the loss, Burnley was demoted with one game remaining, meaning they will play in the Championship again next season.
