Barcelona took all the spoils in the Catalonia derby to maintain their perfect start in La Liga and go four points clear by beating Girona 4-1 at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi. Lamine Yamal’s brace put them two goals to the good at half-time before a stunning strike from Olmo added a third just after the break. It meant Olmo became just the third Barcelona player this century to score in his first three games for the club. Pedri completed the rout after 67 minutes but Girona got a consolation through Stuani with 10 minutes to go. If the goals had not offered enough to the travelling support, Torres added to the derby day drama, seeing straight red for a stamp on Asprilla. Barcelona significantly outscored their expected goals total of 1.82 but Girona fell short of their total of 1.35xG after Gil fired straight at Ter Stegen from point-blank range.
