There's the final whistle, and a thoroughly entertaining game between Las Palmas and Real Madrid ends with the spoils shared at 1-1! The hosts, staunchly defending their early 1-0 lead, did have the odd chance to double their advantage and saw shots from Sandro, Marmol and Ramirez go close, resulting in 0.73 xG, and could have won it late on if not for a tight offside call against Jaime Mata.
Los Blancos, however, created chances aplenty in their efforts to claw back the deficit, producing a whopping 2.81 xG and seeing Vinicius, Garcia, Rodrygo and Mbappe's shots all saved by Cillessen before an accidental handball by Suarez resulted in a penalty.
Vinicius duly stepped up to equalise from the spot, and although the visitors had further close-run opportunities via Mbappe and Endrick at the death, they couldn't find a winner and draw their second game of the new season, remaining fifth in the table as Las Palmas move out of the relegation zone!
