If Inter Miami manages a win or draw against Atlanta United on Wednesday, it will set a new single-season franchise record for their longest unbeaten streak in MLS at Chase Stadium.

The Herons' narrow 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday secured their place at the top of the Supporters' Shield standings, just one point ahead of FC Cincinnati. Meanwhile, Atlanta United extended their winless streak in this competition to nine matches after a 1-0 loss at home to Los Angeles FC.

Their inability to secure victories on the road continues to haunt them, failing to score in four out of six away fixtures so far. The team's tally of seven losses in 2024 sits just two defeats shy of their total losses by the end of the 2023 regular season. A win in the upcoming Wednesday fixture not only presents an opportunity for Atlanta to secure their first victory in Fort Lauderdale but also to achieve back-to-back wins against Miami for only the second time, recalling their 5-2 win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2023.
