Klopp says the Salah ISSUE is "completely resolved."
With a remark about "respect," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaks out about his fight with Mo Salah.
Jurgen Klopp has said he has buried the hatchet with Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah following their touchline spat.
Salah and departing manager Klopp got into a physical altercation on the sidelines of the Reds' 2-2 draw with West Ham, further undermining their already slim title chances. After Michail Antonio's equalizer in the 77th minute, Salah—who was unexpectedly left off the starting lineup—engaged in a violent argument with the German player before entering the game from the bench.
Before they could enter the fight, teammate Salah was shoved aside by fellow substitute Darwin Nunez, capping the altercation. When Salah was requested to stop by waiting reporters after the game, he responded, "There's going to be a fire today if I speak."
During his pre-match news conference for Sunday's home match against Tottenham, Klopp was questioned about the incident but stated that it had been settled.
"No issue; it's fully [fixed]. "We have known each other for a long time and we respect each other so much," said Klopp, whose farewell tour has taken a negative turn since he revealed his decision to stand down this summer. "I'm not sure how we would handle it if we didn't know each other for long."
"It is perfectly OK with us. It's not a narrative at all. However, in general, the optimal scenario is when everyone is happy, we win lots of games and goals, and then situations like that don't occur. Mo, will we begin?
"With three games remaining, do I totally alter my habits? You desire the entire lineup."
"You have to get used to it not being my subject," Klopp continued. He is amazing, but I shouldn't talk about him because others will judge that for themselves.
"I'm not the right person to discuss this with. I simply aim to support the club's foundation for the future. These choices belong to other people."
