Marc Cucurella humiliates Gary Neville after Spain wins Euro 2024.
Prior to the country's opening game against Croatia, Gary Neville cited Marc Cucurella as one of the reasons why Spain was not expected to win Euro 2024, however that belief was later disproven.
Marc Cucurella attacked Gary Neville after Spain defeated England in the 2024 European Championship.
Spain won the match thanks to a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal in the 86th minute. Cole Palmer had previously cancelled off Nico William's first-half effort. Luis de la Fuente's team, who won seven occasions and needed extra time only once, deservedly prevailed.
With the exception of Spain's third group encounter, Cucurella started every game and guaranteed his spot in the knockout round. The Chelsea defender was crucial in Berlin as well, as at the Olympiastadion he laid down a precise cross that Oyarzabal converted.
Cucurella, a former player of the season for Brighton, was quick to celebrate Spain's victory and couldn't help but make a small jab at Neville. Cucurella shared a remark from the Salford City owner's critique on Instagram.
Neville had stated, "I didn't think he'd play," on ITV Sport. At Chelsea, he hasn't been that persuasive. Towards the remainder of the season, he participated in a few games.
"A busy little full back, he's combative and aggressive. Even now, everyone is still amazed by the price tag.
"Spain's defence has a lot of experience now, but there's still something lacking that gives you the impression that they're going to win everything. He plays left back, which is a wonderful example of why we believe that, I must admit.
Cucurella posted a passage from those remarks along with the note, saying, "We went all the way, Gary. I appreciate your help. The Spaniard embellished his statement with a heart, a trophy, a flag of Spain, and a kiss.
Cucurella's companion Claudia Rodriguez was compelled to join in the fun as well. She captioned a picture she sent of Cucurella receiving the prize on Instagram, asking, "How was your night, @gneville2?"
