This will be the fourth meeting between Türkiye and Portugal at the UEFA EURO. Portugal have won all three of their previous encounters in the tournament, without conceding a single goal: 1-0 in 1996 (group stages), 2-0 in 2000 (quarter-finals) and 2-0 in 2008 (group stages).
