This coming Saturday, Watford hosts Blackburn Rovers at White Hart Lane as the two teams are separated by only three points in the league standings of the Championship.
Rovers are now sixth in the table, after a string of recent wins, when Hornets are ninth.
So, while Watford is in one of the top ten positions in the table, the fans won't have anything to say against Tom Cleverley's work.
However, the Hornets have now recorded just two wins in their last eight games; all five of their losses coming on the road at Vicarage Road.
That is perhaps the only solace for Cleverley, who has gathered 13 of 15 points from home grounds to ease any pressure that may exist.
Ultimately, however, Watford have to learn how to stop losing on the road--the losses coming at the hands of rivals Luton Town and Leeds United since the October international break.
Some might be able to learn from how they came back into the game-after going two goals down in the first seven minutes at Elland Road-only to lose by a 2-1 margin, but there is panic to correct the wrongs come the weekend.
Predictably, Blackburn have been mainly drawing on their home advantage this season, in which 19 out of their 26 points gained have been at Ewood Park.
Crestfallen Swansea City were defeated 1-0 last weekend and then had to settle for a goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion earlier this week; nonetheless, this was sufficient for John Eustace's side to move back into the top six. But the Rovers have been beaten by Coventry City and Plymouth Argyle in the last away fixtures, though they previous had three successive away draws. This season, Watford has been carrying out quite well their home games-so far, they have played five games, managing to win four and drawing the other. They have let only four goals while scoring 10. That form has been the main reason they are currently ranked ninth in the standings due to no small part for their startling away performance. The Hornets will be glad this game is at home as they've lost all five of their previous away! They went down 2-1 against Leeds in the middle of the week after losing 3-0 at Luton the previous weekend. Both Watford and Blackburn have good home records and poor road records. Rovers have lost their last two away games and drawn three others, thus they are yet to win on the road.
