West Ham 3-1 Luton Town: The Hatters are in danger of dropping out of the Premier League
In David Moyes' final home game, West Ham defeated Luton 3-1 at the London Stadium. Albert Sambi Lokonga gave the visitors the lead, and goals in the second half from James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek, and youthful substitute George Earthy gave the hosts the win.
Luton Town's 3-1 loss to West Ham United, who celebrated manager David Moyes's firing in spectacular fashion in the Scot's final home game as the Hammers' boss, almost sent Luton Town packing from the Premier League.
A header from Albert Sambi Lokonga gave Luton the lead at the interval, but three goals from the home team in the second half preserved their modest hopes of making it to Europe the following year.
Nine minutes after the interval, a well-taken goal by the recalled James Ward-Prowse tied the score for West Ham. Tomas Soucek then completed the comeback with a thunderous volley, and youthful replacement George Earthy scored the team's first goal.
Meanwhile, West Ham may still finish as high as seventh in the rankings if other results go their way between now and the end of the season.
