Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim likes the "healthy" spat between Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo after Viktoria Plzen's comeback victory.

The post-match altercation between Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo in the Czech Republic thrilled Ruben Amorim, who observed the fervour he desires from his team.

The Red Devils' 2-1 Europa League comeback victory against Viktoria Plzen on Thursday raised the spirits following losses to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, which were made worse by sporting director Dan Ashworth's unexpected departure.

Due to a mistake by Andre Onana, former Burnley striker Matej Vydra gave the home team the lead early in the second half. However, United substitute Hojlund immediately equalised and scored two minutes from time to give Amorim his first away victory as United's manager.

The two-goal match winner's main emotion at full time, however, was annoyance at not being able to finish with a hat-trick in stoppage time because Diallo chose to go alone instead of cross.

Moments later, Hojlund decided not to pass to the forward during another break, which resulted in a dispute at the final whistle that newly hired Amorim saw favourably.

The United head coach responded, "Yes (I was aware of that), and for me it's perfect."

"We need to feel something right now, you know. It is similar to a family if we have to quarrel. It's a very, very positive sign for me. We must experience something, and that is crucial.

"It's evident that the players care," he told the Portuguese.

"You don't do nothing when you don't care. You argue with your mother, father, and brother when you're worried. It's a very positive indication for me.

It's a typical occurrence. I let the players and the captain to defuse the situation because I believe it to be constructive and healthy.

"I'll enter the dressing room if I think it's excessive. However, it's their area, and they must converse and fight, which is crucial in my opinion.

United's victory on Thursday increased their prospects of finishing in the top eight, which would have eliminated them from the play-off round, and gave them a huge push towards the Europa League knockout round.

It was a positive boost ahead of Sunday's trip to struggling rivals Manchester City and another step in Amorim's quest to improve the team's reputation.

"In this moment, in this context, the way we give a goal to the opponent, it was important not to give up," he stated.

"What a wonderful message. Although it was not a particularly good game, we were able to accomplish these positive things, which is beneficial when you are forming a team, and I believe we were worthy of the victory.

"I'm glad we won the game and continue to battle. That's a great thing.

"When you win and fight with your team-mate because you want to score one more, for me it's a very good day for us."
