Marcus Rashford: Ruben Amorim wants to keep the England forward's career at Old Trafford alive.

"We are better with Rashford, and that's simple," Ruben Amorim said of Marcus Rashford. "I just want to win and help the team be better, so we try different things to push Marcus to be at his best level that he's shown in the past." He is a huge talent, which is what this type of club needs."

Marcus Rashford: Ruben Amorim wants to keep the England forward's career at Old Trafford alive.

Marcus Rashford hinted that he was ready for a new beginning away from Old Trafford, but Ruben Amorim has refused to rule him out of Manchester United.

Rashford told reporter Henry Winter on Monday that he is "ready for a new challenge" in the face of speculation that the club's INEOS ownership has intentions to make money off of the Carrington graduate.

The head coach seemed to doubt Rashford's professionalism during training when he was left out of Ruben Amorim's team for the Manchester derby, which United won 2-1 in a thrilling match.

However, Amorim indicated that "big talent" Rashford still has a significant role to play at Old Trafford ahead of Man Utd's Carabao Cup quarterfinal matchup against Tottenham on Thursday, live on Sky Sports.

"I think he's right," Amorim responded when questioned about Rashford's remarks. We have a new challenge here, and it's a tough one. Because of the challenging circumstances we're in, it's the largest challenge in football. This challenge is truly novel. I'm hoping that every gamer is prepared for this new task.

Have I had a conversation with Marcus Rashford? Not yet; I gave them a day off yesterday.

"I just want to win and to help the team be better, so we are better with Marcus Rashford, and that's simple, we try different things to push Marcus to be at his best level that he's shown in the past," Amorim said when asked about the future of the England international.

"He is a tremendous talent, and this kind of club demands great talent, therefore my goal is on getting him to perform at his best. All I want to do is assist Marcus.

Amorim: The squad won't be affected by Rashford's noise

Academy-produced Since making his debut for his boyhood club in February 2016, Rashford has scored 138 goals in 426 games.

Rashford, who has scored seven goals in 24 games this season, was on a collision course with the INEOS leadership and their "clean culture" approach earlier this year after breaking former manager Erik ten Hag's rules for the third time in January. However, the 27-year-old's form has drastically declined over the last 18 months.

Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were left out of the team on Sunday because Amorim, Ten Hag's replacement, was not happy with Rashford's performance on the training pitch or his overall attitude.

Amorim says his team won't be affected by the commotion around Rashford's future before the hectic Christmas season begins on Thursday against Spurs.

"They [players] are more simple than that," he stated. "We are a little self-centred, they concentrate on their work, and I was a player. The team is not even affected.

"We have one more practice, but it will be the same as for the other players; if they train effectively, I will have to decide. We'll find out at the conclusion of the training. Every day, I want excellence from every player.

In response to a question on whether he would allow a player to leave the team in January, he said, "This is in the future, my focus is that all the players are at their best and can be prepared for each match."
