What Jurgen Klopp said to Mohamed Salah during their altercation on the West Ham United touchline has been confirmed by Michail Antonio.

Although Michail Antonio disputes what Jurgen Klopp said to Mohamed Salah during their altercation on the West Ham United touchline, he can understand why the Liverpool pair disagreed.

During Saturday's 2-2 draw against the Hammers, Darwin Nunez of the Reds intervened to break up an argument between Klopp and Salah as the Egyptian was about to be substituted off the bench.

Although Salah departed the London Stadium claiming "there will be fire" if he commented on the altercation, the Liverpool manager later played down the incident.

Additionally, Antonio has tweeted what he believes to be Klopp's message to Salah during the altercation. The West Ham player's equalizer from the previous weekend further hurt the Reds' dwindling Premier League title ambitions.

"Basically, what I have heard is what the boys have been talking about on the training ground (at West Ham)—this is not inside information, nobody has told me anything," the forward stated.

"Klopp typically gives the Liverpool players a great hug and wishes them luck when they enter the field, but when Mo entered the game, he moved in a different direction and started doing his shinpads and other things like that. When Mo stopped doing so, Klopp extended his hand to him and held it there for a little while and Mo Salah simply gave Klopp a high five by slapping his hand as he halted what he was doing.
