Amidst reports of a falling out between Manchester United and Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund speaks out.

Bruno Fernandes has been supported by Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund following reports of an altercation with his teammate.

Amidst reports of a falling out between Manchester United and Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund speaks out.

The Denmark international allegedly fell out with his skipper as early as November and complained to the coaching staff about Fernandes' infrequent ball passes. Fernandes had sided with the defender in a fight that Hojlund had already gone through with Diogo Dalot.

Hojlund's goal drought with the Red Devils coincided with the conflict. Since then, though, the teenage striker has produced more, scoring 14 goals in his first season with United.

Hojlund was set up by Fernandes in a 4-2 triumph at Old Trafford against Sheffield United. Given the rumors of their breakup, it seems Hojlund was compelled to make light of his purported grievance.

"I would like to express my gratitude to Bruno for the ball," he said to Football Focus.

"He's receiving a lot of criticism, so I was thrilled for him. It's unfair because he's a terrific captain and consistently performs at the highest level."

Despite his impact, Fernandes' future with the team has seemed questionable lately. The former Sporting star, who has 15 goals and 11 assists this season, has been United's main contributor.

But it seems like Manchester United will entertain bids for any of its players this summer; rumors have it that Alejandro Garnacho, Hojlund, and Kobbie Mainoo are the only players who are considered untouchable. Fernandes did not appear to be able to promise that he would stay at Old Trafford come summertime.

"At this time, I'm not considering other options. It obviously depends on more than just me, does it? To DAZN Portugal, he said.

"A player must always want to be here, but you must also want him to stay." I think there's that right now on both sides."

"So, if you want me to be very honest," he continued, "if I have to think about not continuing in the Premier League, it won’t be until after the Euros because nothing will be able to take my focus away from the FA Cup final and the Euros, as there’s nothing more important than that at the moment."
