Arsenal is predicted to beat Tottenham and Aston Villa to acquire a £74 million striker in January.

The striker, who has lost favour at Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, has been linked to Arsenal.

Arsenal is predicted to beat Tottenham and Aston Villa to acquire a £74 million striker in January.

According to reports, Arsenal is in the lead to recruit Randal Kolo Muani, a striker for Paris Saint-Germain, who may depart the French Ligue 1 team in January due to poor play. This season, Kolo Muani has made just ten league appearances for the French team, contributing one assist and two goals.

Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Juventus are reportedly among the clubs in the Premier League and Serie A that have expressed interest in the 26-year-old. The latter are reportedly particularly interested in the player.

TuttoSport claims that Arsenal is "at the front row" in the competition for Kolo Muani and that PSG has no say in which team he joins. According to the source, he might depart on a permanent contract or on a loan. He makes an estimated £3.3 million a season, so if Arsenal wants to loan him for the remainder of this season to strengthen their attack, they will be responsible for paying his full wage.

Kolo Muani's time at PSG has not been successful. He had the best run of his career at Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt before joining for a whopping £74 million in 2023. However, the striker has made 54 appearances since relocating to the French city, contributing seven assists and 11 goals. In an effort to find his best form again, he might look for a move elsewhere.

The striker is still an important member of the French national team in spite of his subpar play this season. Since his debut in 2022, he has made 27 appearances and scored eight goals.

In an attempt to stay competitive with teams like Liverpool for the Premier League title, Chelsea has been connected to a number of strikers during the January transfer window. Kolo Muani had previously been linked to both Newcastle United and AC Milan.

However, Kolo Muani's move to the Emirates would be best for both sides because Arsenal is said to be the front-runners and they can guarantee consistent playing time because of their lack of depth up front.

In January, will Mikel Arteta sign a striker?

According to sources, Arsenal is expected to recruit an attacker during the January transfer window, and Kolo Muani is the most recent striker to be connected to the club.

Dusan Vlahovic, a standout for Juventus who has scored seven goals in 16 league games this season, has been strongly linked to the Gunners.

Since Gabriel Jesus has had a somewhat quiet season at the Emirates, reports from early December indicated that Arsenal might include him in a trade. However, a recent improvement in performance would have been sufficient to persuade the Gunners to retain Jesus.

Viktor Gyokeres, a striker for Sporting CP, has also consistently been linked to Arsenal. They could have to wait until the summer, though, since it doesn't appear probable that the Sweden international will leave in January.
