Bologna striker is Manchester United's top transfer target; AC Milan and Arsenal are also keen.

One of Manchester United's main summer transfer targets is starting to emerge: Joshua Zirkzee.

United has expressed a strong desire to sign the Bologna striker.

The 23-year-old is one of several strikers on whom United is conducting due diligence before to the transfer market opening on Friday. He has a £34 million release clause in his contract.

With two years remaining on his contract, Zirkzee is still a target for Arsenal and AC Milan.

Arsenal has moved its focus away from players like Brentford's Ivan Toney and Newcastle's Alexander Isak in favour of bringing in a young striker they can develop.

After travelling to London for negotiations, Milan is reportedly still pushing to sign the 23-year-old, according to Sky in Italy. They are still in communication with his representatives even if nothing was agreed upon.

Juventus would have to sell a striker in order to acquire Zirkzee, as they are presently pursuing other targets.

After completing the Bayern Munich system, Zirkzee spent time with Parma and Anderlecht before making his summer 2022 move to Bologna.

In his first season in Serie A, the attacker had little playing time and finished with just two league goals in 808 minutes.

He scored 11 goals in the league this term, and the shot map below indicates that his most potent shooting area is left-of-center.
