Trent Alexander-Arnold addresses the "deluded" claim and makes a future declaration.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, the vice captain of Liverpool, has laid out his future strategy and revealed a "amazing" revelation about Arsenal.
In addition to admitting that it would be "amazing" if Liverpool defeated Arsenal on Sunday, Trent Alexander-Arnold has stated his desire to become the first full-back to win the Ballon d'Or. After winning the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup throughout his Reds career, Alexander-Arnold has long been regarded as one of the best attacking right-backs in the world.
The 26-year-old, who made his Liverpool debut eight years ago on Friday, is currently set to depart Anfield on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign because negotiations for a new deal have not yet been finalised. Rumour has it that Real Madrid is interested.
But with an eye on the future, Alexander-Arnold knows exactly where he wants his career to go.

"I believe I can win the Ballon d'Or," he stated. "My goal is to become the first full-back to accomplish this feat.
The ability to look in the mirror and declare that you have given it your all only comes the morning after retirement. The amount of effort you put into the game and whether you realise your full potential are more important than the number of medals or trophies you have earned.
Since I was six years old, my name has been used to suggest potential. You will be satisfied if you realise that you have that potential, have done everything in your power to maximise it, and become the best player you think you can be. I suppose it makes no difference how many trophies you win.
"Am I capable of becoming that? Definitely. I think so. Some could say I'm deluded, but I think I am.
A Real Madrid representative has won the Ballon d'Or 12 times, which is a record shared by Spanish rivals Barcelona, but only Michael Owen has done it while playing for Liverpool.
"(I want to be) a football legend, someone who changed the game," Alexander-Arnold continued. 'Don't play the game, change the game' is a statement I use. To be honest, I want to be remembered as the best right-back in football history.
"I have to aim for the stars, even if I am aware that there have been plenty out there. I think that's where my ceiling can go.
With the Reds leading the Premier League by one point after winning 11 of their first 12 games in all competitions, Alexander-Arnold has been a mainstay under new head coach Arne Slot this season.
A win would put them seven points ahead of the Gunners already at this early point in the season when they visit championship contenders Arsenal on Sunday.
Additionally, Alexander-Arnold emphasised the significance of a Liverpool victory this weekend while discussing his favourite away venues with Sky Sports.
"Toughest away venue is Goodison, it's always a dogfight with Everton," he stated. "My career has been quite balanced; there have been many ties, a few wins for us, and a win for them. Recall the 5-0 and 3-0 victories; I really enjoy thrashing Manchester United.
"It would be incredible to defeat the Emirates (Arsenal) there. I have defeated them there a few times, but that was before they were as good as they are now.
United is my favourite arena in terms of facilities. Nevertheless, the atmosphere of Man City is often talked about, and when we play them, it's amazing. We sense it. It's really intense.
